It is always so very hard to decide what to write about yourself. I will make an attempt for all of you who may be interested in me. If you have any questions please be sure to write to me and ask.

I am in my 30's, 5'6", and weigh 118 lbs. Oh my! Am I getting FAT ? ? ? I model and also have another job where I work with the handicapped. I LOVE both jobs and find that the big differences between them is really nice. They mutually reinforce each other.

My eye color is brown, and like any true model, my hair color varies with the season ! *Giggles*

I reside in the greater New York City/Boston region of the U.S. and just adore this area. The change of seasons is wonderful and autumn is very spectacular in this part of the U.S. ! October is my favorite month.

When I was little I knew I was a very special type of girl. I was also very shy . I so wanted to "fit in" in school but felt so out of place. I really did not know where I wanted to go in life. I played sports with the guys and was really BAD at it. I did excel in volleyball and found out that I can "give" as good as I "receive" ! ! ! *Giggles*

I also played with the girls where we would pretend to be an actress or model. We would also chat about our teachers, parents, friends, and guys. WOW their ears must still be burning!

Does this sound like you? I was fine as a student in elementary school but adolescence in middle school was no fun. I was a poor student and preferred to look at modeling magazines and shows on television. I felt I was ugly. I had a very poor self image. I wanted to be as pretty as all the top models. I really adored Cindy Crawford !

In high school I sort of got my act together. At least my grades went up and I graduated. There must be a God in Heaven ! I was still lost however.

When I went to college. Yes, I am not just beautiful (I hope !) but I do possess a brain as well ! I really found myself. "Oh Karen there you are girl " ! I studied hard, spent my senior year of college in Great Britain, and graduated with honors. By the way, for my British visitors, I LOVE your country and I think all things British are great. The guys are really cute too !

After college I got my careers going. I started working with the handicapped, and felt an inner satisfaction which made me feel better about myself being able to help others less fortunate.

I had one job which made me feel beautiful on the inside but I wanted another job which would make me feel beautiful on the outside. I looked to my other dream.

It was at this time that I decided to pursue my dreams of being a model. I had always wanted to model, and felt it was now or never. I started to learn the job. It is hard work involving long hours and alot of pain ! OUCH OUCH OUCH ! No pain, no gain.

I learned how to coordinate wardrobe, pose, style hair, and apply make up. I also learned how to always be ready and make the camera friendly to me, picture wise. How do you think I am doing ? Okay I must admit that my make up artist Jamie does my professional make up and the agency does the photography and wardrobe.

I enjoy traveling and have been to 72 countries on six continents. I really like learning about different nations and cultures. I have made many friends around the world. I also travel the U.S. and Canada extensively but not as much as I would like to.

In my spare time I like to hike, swim, walk the beach, read, go to the movies, and play chess and backgammon. I am really bad at chess but I bet I could beat the pants off you in backgammon ! I must be better at backgammon because it does not involve as much brain power as chess :-)

My idea of a romantic evening is dinning out by candlelight, good wine and conversation, followed by dancing or a walk on the beach. A little cuddling or kissing later on is nice too.

For you guys yes, I also like to shop, buy clothes and keep up on the latest fashions. Hey, I'm a typical girl that way !

I am SINGLE and still looking for that special "someone" to make my life complete. It must be somebody who will love, respect, and accept me for who I am. A relationship is a two way street of mutually reinforcing love and support! Are you interested?

So many of my girlfriends have begged me to start my own website to show my pictures. This is why I decided to show my work to the world. I also started my website to inspire others. I have also had many "down" periods in my life. Many were very serious, painful, and too private to mention here. I like to be upbeat and want my website to be 100% positive. This is an "All Smiles Zone" here :-)

If any of you have dreams work hard and pursue them. I did and I made it happen ! You can make it happen too ! Nothing is impossible with hard work, a loving family, and a wide circle of great friends. Maybe a few lucky breaks too.
